Artist-Educator | Director | Inclusive Theatre Practitioner

MFA Performance Pedagogy

California Single Subject Teaching Credential, 2025
MA Transformative Education, 2026

With an M.F.A. in Performance Pedagogy (2023), a forthcoming M.A. in Transformative Education (2026), and a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Theatre expected by Summer 2025, I am deeply committed to advancing equitable, inclusive, and student-centered learning experiences. My work bridges performance and pedagogy, with a focus on learning and teaching acting methods from a variety of cultural perspectives to support artistic excellence and educational equity in contemporary theatre. I have taught at Loyola Marymount University, ArTES Magnet High School (Los Angeles Unified School District), and The Actor’s Studio of Orange County, and I am preparing to begin teaching at Chapman University. My practice blends rigorous techniques—such as Meisner, Stella Adler, Fitzmaurice Voicework®, and Michael Chekhov—with culturally responsive pedagogy, empowering diverse student voices and fostering authentic creative expression both in the classroom and on stage.

"Cole teaches the way he acts: with full commitment, passion, and intelligence. He is also willing to experiment along with his students to discover new entry points to the craft. This flexibility demonstrates his interest in living in each acting challenge. He does not merely teach, he channels." -Sonya Cooke, Founder, Seven Pillars Acting®
